No. because the Western Sahara is currently a colony of Morocco and Mauritania is not interested in becoming one too. That ‘Moorish’ is a wee bit ticklish, you know. Non Moorish people are a bit worried about it.

What is tried is the Maghreb Union. A bit bigger without one special group being supreme to the others. But they have a VERY long way to go as yet.
