Question by Nate R: built a new computer and it wont start?
i recently built a custom computer and it worked fine while i was installing a os and testing out my fps in various games anyway after about 8 hours the computer wouldnt turn on anymore. It seemed to freeze whenever i turned it on. After poking around for a bit i noticed that soon after turning on the northbridge chipset got EXTREMELY hot, too hot to even slightly touch the heatsink. so i sent it back to asus and received a new one. I put the beast back together and it still doesnt work, but the northbridge chipset isnt as hot now. im at a loss for this, i have even stripped it down to bare minimum components and i get a instantly frozen computer and nothing on my screen. below are my components:

Your processor is fried, your heat sink/fan wasnt working on your prior mother board and it killed your processor…either that or your Ram chips arent set snug enough~

I just hooked up my windows 7 computer to my lcd tv and i am wondering how to get the sound that is playing on my computer to play on my tv’s. I am planning on watching some shows that i will be playing on my computer on my tv and i would like to hear it on my tv’s speakers. Thanks for the help!! Also, i noticed when i played a video on the computer it occassionally skipped on the tv screen and wasnt very smooth. Any solutions?

What sound and video driver do you use, if you have it live nvidia you can tell the computer its not hooked up to a computer screen. And you need to change the audio settings, realtek is good, you’ll just have to fool around with the setting until it works.

You can use your computer to watch TV as long as it has a nvidia TV in connection. connect your tv cable there and open the tv software and tune the channels.
However to use a laptop as a tv is not a practicle solution specially if it is for commercial use. You can purchase a low budget 2nd hand tv for this purpose. TV has certain resistence to moisture and humidity so a spa will not impact it too much
Yes you can connect the laptop to a wireless device. if your using it in the spa than you need to install a router. if you have hot spots around than you need to scan for those hot spots and connect for free. hope this helps
