The Book that was Downloaded Across the World: iBook Downloads Revolutionize the World

With the release of the iPad, our lives as we know it are stepping into a new era. Along with that the way we process media has also changed. We no longer have a messenger riding town to town spreading the word, we have instant world news on the internet. Well, no longer do you have to go take a trip or wait in the mail for a new book, you can download it.

Yes all this new technology is getting a little crazy. I remember when I had to drive to the book store to buy a book. Everyone got excited when they learned you could buy them online, but this… this is just crazy.

I can sit in my office and see a book I like, grab my iPad, download the book, and within minutes start reading it. Even better yet start listening to the audio book. This opens up new avenues for publishers as well to get noticed.

This is a new frontier and along with it we will find many great authors. 65 Days after release there were 5 million. Correct me if I am wrong, but that means there were an average of 76,923 iBooks a day. Could that be one of your books? And with the release of 4.0 software that number will rise as iPod and iPhone users will have access to the book store as well.

With iBooks in its infancy stage right now we can just sit back and watch to see where this takes us. The iPad with is one step for technology and a great leap for our viewing pleasure.
