i need some recommendations from world music enthusiasts (?

Question by myportraitdrawing: i need some recommendations from world music enthusiasts (?
I have discovered that I like the music of Habib koite, which is an African group that sounds kind of progressive. I come from a background of progressive rock and classical music, and I appreciate any group that features some excellent instrumental parts with interesting rhythms and harmonies. I don’t want tribal music. Any type of world music that seems influenced by jazz, blues, or classical (symphonic) music would probably be more to my taste.
